Airbus wins new Asian customer for Airbus Corporate Jetliner

A new Asian customer has placed a firm order for an Airbus Corporate Jetliner (ACJ). The aircraft will feature a luxurious VIP interior, and will be powered by CFM International CFM56-5B7/P engines.

Management of the aircraft will be by BAA Jet Management of Hong Kong, which is rapidly building a name for itself in the field, and which will base the aircraft in Hong Kong.

“If you want to trade up to something bigger and better than traditional business jets at the upper end of the market, the Airbus ACJ Family has to be at the top of your shopping list” said BAA Jet Management Vice Chairman Jay Shaw. “With the widest cabins in their class, as well as the most floorspace, you soon realise why Airbus corporate jetliners have such a lot to offer.”

Airbus’ Corporate Jetliner family comprises the A318 Elite, ACJ and A320 Prestige, and represent the state-of-the-art in top-of-the-line business jets.

“Hong Kong has long been synonymous with super service and economic efficiency, so having another Airbus corporate jetliner customer base its aircraft there – with a well known aircraft management company such as BAA Jet Management – comes as no surprise,” Airbus Chief Operating Officer, Customers John Leahy, said.

Around 150 single-aisle and widebody Airbus aircraft are now in VIP and government service around the world, from Asia to Antarctica, delivering service to high net-worth individuals, companies and governments.
