China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines to Launch Dragon Boat Festival Charter Flights to Shanghai

China Airlines and its subsidiary Mandarin Airlines are to launch Dragon Boat Festival charter flights directly to Shanghai, from June 3 to 15. A total of four round-trip charter flights from Taipei to Shanghai have been arranged, and Boeing 737-800 and Airbus A330 aircraft will be used for the charters, which will provide a two-class service.

A 5% discount on ticket fares is available for passengers using web-ATM payment on CI.com. Passengers may also make their reservations through designated travel agencies. With the required mileage, or an additional payment, Dynasty Flyer members can upgrade their seats or redeem a free ticket on the charter flights, and Dynasty Flyer members can also accumulate mileage on the charter flights. However, the Dynasty Flyer member upgrades and redemptions will not be open for online service.

Passengers on China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines can use their tickets interchangeably on both airlines, and can combine scheduled flights with the charter flights. Passengers with scheduled flight tickets can switch those tickets to charter flights without an administration charge, and need only pay the price difference if needed. Passengers can also join China Airlines Dynasty Packages to Shanghai.
