TAIPEI, Nov. 8, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Under Taiwan Design Research Institute (TDRI), the Fresh Taiwan team’s annual campaign of "Say Hi to the World" has finally taken the stage after the pandemic, launching a "Fresh Taiwan" themed pop-up store at Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store in Osaka this autumn, and finely selecting a series of Eastern-style brands that have added new technology to the inherited craftsmanship, reflecting Taiwan’s cultural status, displaying ever-changing creativity through seasonal products, and garnering much attention in the local market of Taiwan.

Internationally, Taiwan not only has garnered the world’s attention with its delicious food and cultural uniqueness, such as music, but also won various internationally awards and recognitions in the area of design. Taiwanese design has earned increased visibility and acclaims around the world, and these outstanding Taiwanese design brands have now arrived in Japan.

For example, "paper shoot" is a unique camera brand and the only one in the world that promotes "combining technology with environmental protection and lifestyle." Products of paper shoot have been exported to over 30 countries, and constantly accumulating over million shares on social media, achieving a stunning annual sales of over 800,000 units in European and American markets. Specializing in integration with heterogenous materials, paper shoot also provides customization services. Studio Smoll, which has touched international buyers with its warm hand feel, has developed a design bag of folded leather, allowing consumers to enjoy the fun of DIY. Initiated and planned by Taiwan Design Research Institute (TDRI), "Fresh Taiwan" has led delegations of local cultural and creative businesses to international exhibitions and fairs in the form of Taiwan Pavilion since 2012, helping local cultural and creative brands to gain entry into the international market. "Fresh Taiwan" has become the driving force that conveys the cultural soft power of Taiwan, participating in exhibitions across various markets, including Europe, North America, Japan, mainland China, and Southeast Asia.

To date, "Fresh Taiwan" has selected 403 design and cultural and creative brands of Taiwan to participate in 34 major international shows across 92 cities in 31 countries; Fresh Taiwan has also set up shops in renowned select shops and department stores around the world, such as Le Bon Marché and Lafayette in France, Tsutaya Bookstore and Marui 0101 in Japan, and Loft in Thailand, and proactively cooperated with European and American cultural channels, such as MoMA in San Francisco, Guggenheim Museum in New York, Pompidou Center in France, and Prado Museum in Spain, conveying diverse and rich brand powers of Fresh Taiwan.
