Tourism Board in Shanghai for World Travel Fair 2008

The Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) is in Shanghai for the World Travel Fair 2008, to promote the SAR as a tourism, business and leisure destination.
Joao Manuel Costa Antunes, director of MGTO, and Maria Helena Senna Fernandes, subdirector of MGTO, led the delegation of tourism experts to the Chinese city.

At the fair, Macau has a stand entitled “Feel Macau”, featuring the city’s cultural heritage sites, and offering information on travel and accommodation in the SAR, as well as establishing contacts with other tourism delegations.

According to a statement from the Tourism Board, Macau aims to promote the region, as well as establish more contacts with tourism operators from the mainland.
This is the fifth edition of the World Travel Fair, and is organised by the Tourism Administrative Committee of Shanghai as well as VNU Exhibitions Asia.

Shanghai is an important tourism co-operation with Macau, because there are direct flights between the two cities, the statement added.
