The Nam Hai in Vietnam has launched a promotion that gives guests the chance to stay an extra night free this summer.
From 1 April until 30 September, those who book two nights in a one to five-bedroom pool villa receive the next night at no additional cost, including an array of club benefits such as personal butler, daily breakfast and limousine services. Those who book three nights receive the same, plus one complimentary 60-minute Vietnamese massage (per villa) at the resort’s spa.
Deals at the 35-hectare resort on Ha My Beach are almost as sweet for those who book one-bedroom villas. Reserve three nights and receive the fourth free, including the option of complimentary two-way airport transfer or one 60-minute Vietnamese massage (per villa).
“After being named to the Conde Nast Traveler ‘Hot List’ last year and earning ‘Best Designed Resort in the World’ by Travel + Leisure (USA) last month, among many other accolades, The Nam Hai is now a fixture on anyone’s list of the best resorts in the world,” said Wayne Duberly, general manager of The Nam Hai. “What we want to do now is recognize our customers, by rewarding them with packages that promise enormous savings.”
The Nam Hai opened its 100 villas, gourmet restaurants and spa on 1 December, 2006. The resort’s villas were modeled on the traditional residential homes of Vietnam, known as nha ruong, but they have been creatively re-interpreted to accommodate modern technologies and amenities.
During the development of The Nam Hai, the resort’s owners called in not one, but five, architects to imagine the design of the resort. AW2 handled the architecture. Jaya & Associates (Jakarta) designed the interiors and furnishings. KPD (Bali) planned the landscaping. The Flaming Beacon (Melbourne, Australia) developed the light design. Design Studio SPIN (Tokyo) focused exclusively on the restaurant.
Most of the resort’s 60 one-bedroom villas and 40 pool villas border the sea around a horseshoe-shaped spit of sand. In addition to a private stretch of beach, there are three pools available to guests, including a 50m Olympic swimming pool.
Additionally, the resort’s leisure infrastructure includes a badminton court, four tennis courts, a basketball court and a fitness center equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
A more passive leisure-time opportunity beckons from The Spa, where eight traditional pavilions perch on the edge of a serene lotus pond.
Last April, Conde Nast Traveler, one of the three most influential travel magazines in the world, celebrated The Nam Hai as one of the best new hotels in the world on its 2007 Hot List. The resort’s spa was recognized as one of the best new spas in the world in a separate listing.
