Zest Air undershoots Caticlan Airport Runway AGAIN!

After almost six months, Zest Air undershoots Caticlan airport runway again.

According to ABS-CBN News – (the Philippines largest news network) – Thirty-two flights to Caticlan Airport were cancelled today after a Zest Air (formerly Asian Spirit) flight overshot a runway yesterday morning.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) suspended flights to Caticlan until 6 p.m. Thursday.

The Zest Air flight Z2-863 with tail number RPC 8992 exceeded the airport’s Runway 6 at 7:43 a.m. The CAAP said one of the plane’s tires blew up and its noose gear got stuck on the runway, but no one was injured.

The plane had 54 passengers, one flight mechanic, and four crew. The CAAP was forced to cancel flights to Caticlan as it ordered an investigation into the incident.
