Kuala Lumpur Tower (KL Tower) plans to promote wedding tourism to attract local and foreign couples to solemnize their wedding at the Open Deck before they set off for their honeymoon in this country.
Chief Executive Officer Datuk Zulkifli Mohamad said the programme entitled ‘Pledge Your Vow in the Sky’ enabled couples to arrange their private solemnization ceremony at the Open Deck, a unique venue for guests to enjoy the view of the Kuala Lumpur city skyline.
“Wedding tourism at the tower is not only a sightseeing experience but also to have both the culture and nature perspectives added in their (couples’) historical moments here,” he told reporters at a press conference, here Friday.
He said the idea was generated to support and promote the ‘Visit Malaysia Year’ campaign as one of the initiatives to attract local and foreign couples.
“Hopefully, the promotion and marketing done by the travel agents to Europe and Hong Kong, and also through our website, will attract more couples to have their wedding here,” he said.
