Starting today, Cebu Pacific (CEB), the Philippines’ leading carrier to the ASEAN region, starts its direct service from Manila to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia using CEB’s Airbus A319 aircraft.
The flight departs from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 at 4:40 p.m. and arrives at Kota Kinabalu International Airport at 6:30 p.m.
The return flight leaves at 7:00 p.m. and arrives in Manila at 8:50 p.m. The flight operates every Monday and Friday.
The lowest one-way year-round fare for this route begins at P999. Fare is exclusive of taxes and surcharges.
Candice Iyog, CEB vice president for marketing and product, said CEB is the only Filipino carrier operating this route. Kota Kinabalu is the second Malaysian city that CEB services.
CEB also flies four times weekly to Kuala Lumpur from Manila, she said.

Now in its 13th year, CEB has the youngest fleet in the Philippines. It has a fleet of 10 A319s, eight A320s, and two ATR72-500 aircraft. The airline expects to increase its fleet to 25 by the end of 2008.
