The crème de la crème of China’s travel industry were in force at the inaugural TTG China Travel Awards held in Shanghai last week, which honoured the best trade companies operating within the country.The event, coinciding with IT&CM 2008, was attended by over 400 trade professionals and recognised the best of China’s travel industry awarding over 39 corporations across 6 categories.
TTG China Travel Awards will be an annual event, and is modelled after the long-standing TTG Travel Awards. Readers of its series of publications were invited to vote for their favourite travel and tourism organisations over the past two months, with over 12,600 readers participating across the Asia Pacific region.
“We are very excited with China’s growth in the travel and tourism industry. TTG China Travel awards was specially introduced to capture this positive growth,” TTG Asia Media’s Managing Director, Mr Darren Ng, said.
