Balkan Road Trip (www.balkanroadtrip.com / 0845 257 8289) is launching a brand new two-day Albania add-on to its existing Croatia to Greece Pass tour. Running from 11 May – 5 October, the two-day add-on will take travellers to UNESCO-listed Gjirokastra Old Town where travellers can visit its castle that overlooks the town as well as an ethnographic museum.
Blue eye spring in Albania
After spending the night in Gjirokastra, guests head on to a local village and the Blue Eye Spring near Saranda, en route visiting the Mesopotam Monastery. In the afternoon, the tour moves on to Butrint National Park, another UNESCO heritage area and is where guests will spend the last night.
Combine this with the three-night Croatia to Greece Pass which creates a transit tour from Dubrovnik, Croatia to Corfu, Greece. En route travellers will stop off at some of the least explored jewels of Albania and Montenegro including the UNESCO-listed walled city of Kotor in Montenegro, Albania’s capital Tirana with its lively nightlife and low prices, the Turkish town of Berat and the fascinating Roman colony of Butrint. The Greek island of Corfu is a great finish to this tour, with guests able to stay for as long as they wish after the tour ends. The three-night Croatia to Greece Pass starts from £219 per person and the two-day Albania add-on costs from £135 per person, which includes a specialist tour guide (Albanian and English speaking), transport & driver and accommodation (hotels throughout) on a bed and breakfast basis.
