Stephen O’Shaughnessy the Irishman behind the venture claims “with the success of the dot TV domain names and the growth in video content, the TravelGuide.TV project is the future”. Asked about New York he said “New York just had to be one of our first cities – the Big Apple is such a tourist magnet. You casually say ‘Millions of tourists go to New York’ but in fact in 2007 the number of visitors to New York City was 46 million. Of that nearly nine million come from outside the States with over a million visitors from the UK”.
