American Express is hosting the ultimate dining experience in Toronto with the Canadian premiere of Dinner in the Sky(TM), the world famous extreme culinary adventure from Belgium. Taste buds will be tempted with gourmet meals served 35 meters above Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square and there will be special appearances by celebrity chefs Mark McEwan and Anthony Sedlak.
With panoramic views of the city skyline, fine dining will be brought to a higher level – a perfect ‘amuse-bouche’ to kick-off American Express’ sponsorship of Summerlicious 2008, the highly anticipated annual dining celebration produced by City of Toronto Special Events, which runs from July 4 to July 20. Dinner in the Sky features a 22-seat table suspended off the ground via a 120 ton crane, creating a meal guests will never forget.

About Dinner in the Sky(TM)
The long-awaited Dinner in the Sky(TM) concept is finally available in Canada. Originally a Belgian concept, Dinner in the Sky(TM) is operated exclusively by Altitude Concepts, a Montreal consulting firm that specializes in the production of strategic events. The platform is 9 meters by 5 meters. A 22-place, high-tech, state of the art table with 3 chefs and a technical coordinator is hoisted up to 50 meters in the air. After Belgium, France, England, the United Arab Emirates, United States and South Africa, Canada is the seventh country to offer this unique concept to food lovers who wish to enjoy culinary delights in a way that is far from ordinary.
