The Lexington Hotel O & Suites –French Quarter completed a $2 million renovation project to its lobby, common areas, and exterior.
The 18-month renovation project enhanced the property’s design tradition of defining luxury with a modern spirit while remaining true to the traditional culture of New Orleans and the city’s current renaissance transformation.
The newly revealed lobby features circular art and design pieces that are an artistic and whimsical play on the hotel’s ‘O’ name. The lobby is designed with a contemporary flair that pays homage to its city of origin.
“Our mission when starting the renovation process was to create an aura that transcends the common hotel look and feel and provides inspiration and an overall experience for our guests,” said Osman Khan, VP of Operations. “And our design team really nailed it.”
“While in New Orleans, it’s hard for guests not to be entranced by the city’s world renowned music, cuisines, parties, and current revitalization endeavors,” said Steve Belmonte, President, CEO & Partner of The Lexington Collection. “When they step foot in the Lexington Hotel O & Suites – French Quarters, they are in for an experience because they will immediately be awe-struck by the creative aura that the renovations produced.”
The ‘O’ in the property’s name is the eponymous of Organic and Office. The hotel offers guests the comforts of organic and hypoallergenic amenities and bedding. Business travelers can enjoy the business center that provides access to a high-tech remote office environment with wireless and High Speed Internet Access, printer, scanner, computers, and copiers.
Situated in the heart of the cultural mecca of New Orleans and next door to the Ritz Carlton, the 159-room Lexington hotel is a restored historic landmark located on Canal Street, just two blocks from the famed French Quarter and four blocks from the Superdome.
The Lexington Collection hotel chain premiered to the public in 2006 and has been charting a new course in the hospitality industry ever since. The Lexington brand is available to hotels with a minimum three star rating and offers hotel owners four distinct products – hotels, suites, villas and resorts, and plazas. In addition, the Lexington Collection provides owners with short-term contracts, a low monthly fee, a choice in their amenities and services, all part of Lexington’s freestyle lodging model.
As The Lexington Collection- an innovative and affordable alternative to franchising – continues to make a major impact in the industry, additional announcements on strategic and operational developments will be made.
