The most celebrated national hunt horse racing event in the world, Cheltenham will take place between 13th-16th March and the first day of this festival is called Champion Day. There are seven races each day. These are the Grade 1 races, Champion Day, Ladies’ Day (16th March), St Patrick’s Day (15th March) and Gold Cup Day (16th March). Buveur D’ Air who won in 2017 is the featured race of the day. He’s also fighting for his crown this 2018 against past winner Faugheen. Also expected to fight alongside the Queen Mother Champion Chase this 2018 are last year’s winner, Altior with his jockey, Nico De Boinville.

For the last event of Champion Day, Tully East won the Handicap Chase.
