Since CapitaLand – Ascott’s parent company is one of Asia’s largest real estate and developer companies; creativity is one of the organization’s credos. Ascott, under the clear guiding vision of the CEO Mr. Lee Chee Koon, has recognized the need for all Ascott properties around the world to commence a drive towards innovation.

In Thailand, the appointed Chief Innovation Officers (CIO) team including staff and management at all levels have been engaged in creating an innovation-drive within a cluster level among its ten operational properties under the ‘Green-Innovation Concept’. Each and every innovation product or method is aligned with the sustainable development and green future ideas, mainly to reduce waste, save the use of energy as well as making Ascott an even-more environmental friendly organization.

Ascott Thailand hosted its first Innovation Day event, not just to showcase their innovative ideas but to inspire the community and to encourage the innovation-drive in a larger scale. In this event, Ascott freely opened its stage and venue for the stakeholders, business partners and local community to come and exchange innovative ideas and knowledge.

Mr Jean Keijdener, Ascott’s Country General Manager for Thailand, stated in his Ascott Thailand Innovation Day’s opening speech: “Innovation is not just about having great ideas. It’s about putting ideas to action and creating value for our customers, partners, colleagues, company and society. Innovation is important as it is one of the primary ways to differentiate our products away from our competitors. If you cannot compete on price, -like for instance here in the Thailand hospitality market-; we’ll need innovative products and ideas to make our business stand out from the crowd.”

Ascott currently operates ten properties in Thailand with 9 properties in Bangkok and one in Sri Racha with 4 new properties on the way in Pattaya. Ascott’s properties are all located in prime business, entertainment and shopping districts of the city. With modern facilities and personalised services, Ascott’s properties ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay, whether for business or leisure.
