Wedding abroad experts, Tropical Sky, are in ‘oar’ of their latest newly-wed couple. Neil Ward and Louise Robertson ‘tide’ the knot at Almond Beach Village in Barbados over the Valentine’s weekend after Neil rowed a mammoth 2,500 miles across the Atlantic for the ceremony!
Avid adventurer, Neil (38), and his team left the port of San Sebastian La Gomera in the Canary Islands on the 4 January 2010 on board the Britannia III as part of the Atlantic Rowing Race. After 39 gruelling days at sea, Neil was forgiven for failing to show on time for the original wedding date.

Tucked away in the quiet center of the Exumas chain of islands in the Bahamas is the largely untouched, 50-acre Royal Plantation Island at Fowl Cay. A classic favorite for boating, diving and fishing, the island maintains the strict Royal Plantation Collection standards of excellence in a uniquely remote destination.
The spectrum of blue surrounding Royal Plantation Island is breathtaking. Turquoise, cerulean and ice-blue are some of the descriptions that fall short of effectively describing the waters of this spectacular destination.
In 2007, each of the six private one-, two- and three-bedroom villas at Royal Plantation Island were renovated and outfitted with casually elegant furnishings to complement the natural surroundings.
The barefoot chic décor of each villa features hand-selected art, elegant furnishings and luxury linens.
All villas are equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, modern electronics, Molton Brown amenities and a dedicated golf cart, beach-cruiser, bicycles and motorboat to explore neighboring beaches and cays.
The villa collection at Royal Plantation Island includes: the two-bedroom Birdcage; three-bedroom Bluemoon; three-bedroom Sweetwater; identical two-bedroom Starlight and Seabreeze; and the one-bedroom Lindon villa. For the utmost secluded getaway, the island can be rented in its entirety, and sleeps up to 30 people in total.
“Royal Plantation Island is one of the most pristine locations in the Bahamas that is still easily accessible for travelers from the US,” says Steve Huggins, General Manager of Royal Plantation Island, referring to the two-hour long flights from Ft. Lauderdale to neighboring Staniel Cay. “The island’s crystal clear waters and overall charm is truly magnetic; it’s no wonder why travelers seeking the true private island experience plan their escape here.” Continue Reading

Since the beginning of time, people have flocked to the water for medicinal and spiritual reasons. What’s in your memory of summers gone by?
It seems for all of us there is that memory of a sapphire-blue swimming pool or the teasing ocean rush. We laid in the sun working on our tan, sat in the shade reading a wonderful book, walked the water’s edge searching for seashells or simply played like a fish.
There is still time to visit one of these fabulous all-inclusive resorts where you will be WOWED by their beach or pool.
Take a trip to ResortCompete – they have the largest collection of all-inclusive resorts on the web, over 700+- where you will find these top resorts to sooth your soul this summer.
Here are ResortCompete Specialists top recommendations:
Grand Velas All Suites and Spa Resort
Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico – The impression of an unending horizon is yours as you soak in the impressive 23,000 square foot infinity pool at the Grand Velas Resort. Or perhaps you’d prefer the warmth of the infinity Jacuzzi, available to guests aged 18 and up; a plunge in either provides a view that seems to reach right out into beautiful Banderas Bay, and beyond. Have a bite to eat in the poolside restaurant, or let teams of waiters bring you tropical drink concoctions as you bask in the sun.
