Promoters of the 4500-seat Theater setting at Silver Spurs Arena expect the concert performance to “appeal to generations of fans who have heard and enjoyed Beach Boys music for many years.” The Beach Boys are the latest superstar musicians booked to perform at the Silver Spurs Arena, located within Osceola Heritage Park just off U.S. Highway 192 between the cities of Kissimmee and St. Cloud.
In a career spanning 45 years, the Beach Boys have sold over 100 million records worldwide and have received 32 RIAA Platinum and Gold record awards. They have performed more concerts than any major rock band in history.
Since lead-singer and rock’s quintessential front man Mike Love penned the lyrics to The Beach Boys’ first hit, “Surfin’” in 1961, the band has had a string of chart-topping songs that spans nearly 30 years and includes eternal anthems of American youth: “Surfin’ USA,” “Surfer Girl,” “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “I Get Around,” “California Girls,” “Help Me Rhonda,” “Barbara Ann,” “Good Vibrations,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Rock and Roll Music” and “Kokomo.”
Their latest release is a collection of 28 career-spanning tracks that trace the iconic band’s creative arc in a sunup to sundown musical journey that goes beyond the beach, presenting a broad view of the rich musical legacy of America’s band.
The Beach Boys concert adds to the star-studded list of acts to perform at the Arena since it opened in 2003. In recent months, the Arena has hosted the likes of Sugarland, Three Dog Night, comedian Jeff Dunham and 1964…The Tribute, the number one Beatles show in the world.
