Shangri-La Hotel in Tokyo is now offering online hotel room reservations on Monday through its official website at www.shangri-la.com. As part of this online presense launch, the hotel’s 50-square-metre Deluxe rooms can be booked from 56,000 yen per night per room; the standard rate is 70,000 yen. Tokyo Shangrila will also start accepting telephone reservations early next year.
The 269–square-meter Presidential Suite, one of six suites, is priced at the standard rate of 1 million yen per night. The Presidential Suite extends two floors in height. Guests arriving by dedicated ground level elevators will be greeted at the 28th floor lobby with dramatic views of the Marunouchi area, as well as Tokyo Bay to the East, through a backdrop of eight-metre high, floor-to-ceiling windows. Similar cityscapes will be enjoyed by those relaxing with refreshments in the lobby lounge.
Shangri-La’s spa brand – CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La – will make its Japanese debut at Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo. Designed to create a sanctuary of tranquillity inspired by the legend of “Shangri-La,” CHI will introduce the concept of treatments based on ancient Chinese and Himalayan healing therapies.
Meeting and banquet space will include 400 square metres of grand ballroom and function areas as well as a chapel for weddings, vow renewals and blessing ceremonies.
Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo will provide an array of dining experiences, including a glass-ceilinged all-day restaurant on the 28th floor and a specialty restaurant on the 29th floor.
This 202-room Shangri-La Hotel in Tokyo will be the first Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts property in Japan. The hotel will occupy the top 11 floors of the 37-floor, mixed-use Marunouchi Trust Tower Main building, located adjacent to Tokyo Station, and offer cityscape views from Tokyo’s prime location.
