When it comes to the water, Tenerife is full of awesome options. While the pools within your resort are usually excellent and a dip in the ocean is just a short walk away from most hotels, booking an activity or trip can inject a little more adventure into your Tenerife holiday and, with so much to choose from, you’re going to be spoilt for choice.

Siam Park

This Thai-inspired waterpark is one of the largest in Europe and provides plenty of thrills and spills for the whole family. With spine-tingling steep slides, wave pools and relaxing white beaches, you can fill your day with as much or as little adrenaline as you like.

Whale Watching

Hop aboard a glass-bottomed boat and take to the seas off Playa de las Vistas to try and spot some of these gracious creatures. With daily trips from Los Cristianos, chances of spotting a family of whales is high, while you can also soak up the sun as you sail.

Whether you’re an experienced surfer or a complete newbie, the waves in Playa de las Americas (particularly the Playa de Troya) are great for everyone.

Watersports are rife on the Costa Adeje and jetskiing is just one of the adrenaline-fuelled activities. Alternatively, try bob diving, where you ride an underwater scooter – fun!

Head to El Cabezo beach, where windsurfing is an incredibly popular pastime. Surf centres offer lessons for beginners, while the pros can head straight for the tough waves.

Tenerife is an awesome spot for watersports, waterpark fun and sea-based adventures. Tear yourself away from the sand for a while and take advantage of the activities available.
