Low-fare airline of the Gokongwei’s, Cebu Pacific (CEB) is offering its trademark zero fare for its Manila-Osaka (Japan) and Clark to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore flights.
The zero-fare seat sale will run from Oct. 29-Nov. 7, 2008 and is valid for travel from Dec. 1, 2008-Jan. 31, 2009.
Passengers will just pay for fuel and insurance surcharge ranging from US$ 45 to US$ 110 per way.
Candice Iyog, CEB vice president for marketing and distribution, said, “We want to encourage passengers from Central and Northern Luzon to experience traveling to our neighboring Asian countries this holiday season.”
She added, “We also hope to bring in foreign tourists to the wonderful attractions in Subic, Clark, Baguio, Benguet and the Ilocos region.”
Iyog also said that the Manila-Osaka seat sale will allow Filipino overseas workers in Japan to come home and spend their Christmas with their families and friends or Filipinos may visit their loved ones in Japan for a change.
Meanwhile, the airline permanently reduced its lowest year round fares in select domestic routes starting Oct. 30, 2008.
CEB slashed its lowest all-in one-way ‘Go Lite’ fares from Manila to Cotabato and Dipolog, from Php2,388 to Php1,688; Zamboanga, from Php2,188 to Php1,688; Roxas City, from Php1,188 to Php688; Cebu and Iloilo, from Php988 to Php888; and Legaspi, from Php888 to Php788.
The airline also reduced the lowest all-in one-way ‘Go Lite’ fares from Cebu to Dipolog, GenSan and Ozamiz from Php988 to Php688; and Cebu flights to Bacolod, Surigao and Iloilo were marked down to Php688.
Iyog explained that the ‘Go Lite’ fares are for passengers with no check-in luggage. Passengers with check-in bags will just add Php200 upon booking
